The song: Daughters was written and donated to the Embracing the Families Gathering and Stop the Silence Benefit by Michelle Richard.
Written by - Michelle Richard
Bilingual singer/songwriter MICHELLE ANNE RICHARD’s passion for singing began at an early age, nurtured by family jams, schooling and choirs, and rich buffet of music ranging from jazz & blues, world and French song, to pop, classical, folk and country. She channels all of those inspirations into jazz and roots sounds reminiscent of Norah Jones, Cassandra Wilson and Madeleine Peyroux. Born in New Brunswick, she came to BC as a child and now resides in Vancouver, where she obtained a Diploma of Contemporary Music for jazz and musical theatre studies at Vancouver Community College. Awards for her music include two Best Performer Awards (Pacifique En Chanson), and two Province Newspaper's Critics' Picks for her original songs. She is very honored to be a part of this project.
